The Humane Society Donation ministry takes the clean old cotton sheets, towels,
t-shirts and socks and blankets down to Humane Society of San Diego and the Animal Rescue shelter. Other items that can be given are canned and unopened dry pet foods.
The donations are used for the making of bandages, coverings for bandages, toys, and resting areas/beds for the animals in the shelters’ care. It helps with the costs of operating the shelter.
St. Timothy’s has been doing this ministry for approximately six years. Church members can help by remembering that what may be old, worn, tattered items listed above can be made into useful items for the postoperative/medical care and comfort of abandoned, abused, sick, scared animals.
